Dr. Irving Barron
Assistant Professor of Instruction
Engineer, Educator, Researcher
I am an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester, where I also earned my M.S. and Ph.D. in 2018 and 2024, respectively.
My research focuses on signal processing for security and privacy applications, with an emphasis on digital image processing and forensics.
I have worked with students across a range of courses, from fundamental signal processing and communications to hands-on senior design projects. I also work with students on entrepreneurship, helping them connect what they learn in the classroom to the broader world of innovation and business.
